The Crown King Fire Department was originally established as a volunteer Association. The CK Fire District was later formed in 1980. CKFD crew will continue to work hard to keep the remote mountain community of Crown King safe. From emergency medical services and fuels reduction to Firewise education, the CKFD continues to serve the town and its visitors. Many locals and cabin owners still carry on the tradition of volunteering for the CKFD.
